Cozy Living
A slow morning routine for people who hate mornings
You don’t need a 5am ice bath. You need three small anchors that make waking up feel less like a fight.
Cozy Living
The internet’s version of a “morning routine” is exhausting just to read. Cold plunge, journaling, a green smoothie, and a workout — all before sunrise. For most of us, that’s a recipe for guilt, not calm.
Three anchors, that’s it
- Light before screens. Warm lamp or daylight first. Phone second. Even five minutes changes the whole tone.
- One warm thing. Coffee, tea, a slow glass of water. A small ritual that’s yours.
- One gentle intention. Not a to-do list. Just: what would make today feel good?
Make it cozy, not heroic
The point of a morning routine isn’t productivity theater. It’s to start the day on your own terms instead of reacting to everyone else’s. Keep it small enough that you’ll actually do it tomorrow.
A good morning isn’t early. It’s unhurried.
